CGMA March 2018 Newsletter   


Welcome Spring!


Our elementary and high school students hit the slopes for three days in February and had a wonderful time improving their skills. Thank you to all of the parents and siblings who  volunteered to assist our students.

The CGMA Science Fair will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018. All of the students from grades 1 through 8 and the high school science classes will participate. Homeroom teachers will be sending home more specific instructions in the weeks to come.


PA Day - Friday, March 9. School closed.

March Break - Monday, March 12 to Friday, March 16. School closed.

Good Friday, Easter Monday - Friday, March 30 and Monday April 2. School closed.


Volunteering - Grade 5/6 to the Newmarket Health Center to spend time with the residents on March 1.

Sugar Bush Trip - Casa and Grade 1/2 will be visiting the Sugar Bush at Bruce's Mill on Thursday, March 22.

The Enchantment of Beauty and the Beast  - Grade 1/2 will be seeing this play at the Alliance Church on March 5.

Grade 10 Literacy Test - OSSLT testing will be held on Tuesday, April 10.


Congratulations to those students that participated in the Optimist Club Chess Tournament! It was a great showing, and lots of fun.


Congratulations to the intermediate basketball team! They won all of their games in the tournament, and showed great teamwork abilities. Way to go CGMA!


Hot Lunch Program to Support Syrian Refugees

The Grade 5/6 class is providing an opportunity to order an organic and vegetarian hot lunch on Thursdays, March 29, April 5,  and april 12.

Further information will be provided in the coming weeks, as well as additional dates for the 7/8's and the high school students to host meals.
